MEET THE FOUNDER

ADRIANA SUAREZ

Adriana is the founder and artist at Xotu (pronounced soh-too).

As a Mexican-American in the U.S. she saw the dying passion of arts in her family. Inspired to educate herself about the art and traditional culture that her father passed down to her, she created a new wave of artisanship for Hispanics living in the U.S. through Xotu.

During the pandemic, Adriana found inspiration in the beading patterns of the Huichol and began to expand beyond traditional loom bracelets, exploring freehand work with glass seed beads. Drawing inspiration from nature’s motifs—such as sunsets and flowers.

Xotu Jewelry, named after the Huichol word for "flower," was founded in 2019 by Adriana, who aimed to merge her beadwork skills with the teachings of art and traditional culture.

By supporting Xotu, you're backing a locally owned, women-owned, and marginalized business. Your support means the world to us. Moving forward, each piece created—unless otherwise specified—will be authentically Adriana’s, made with the intention to create meaningful, valuable, and connected designs infused with love and passion.
